Kevon Lettman

A brilliant 92 by Kevon Lettman and a hat-trick from Carlos Brown steered Innswood Old Boys to a commanding 137-run win over Longsville to be among the main highlights at the end of Round 3 in the Rovman T20 Bash.

Lettman, who has been in fine form this season, fell just short of a deserved century as Innswood Old Boys posted 211 for nine batting first on an excellent Port Esquivel pitch yesterday. Support also came from Carlos Brown who made 49 against the bowling of Charlton Brooks (4-46) and Damion Bryce, 2-37 to ensure Innswood maintain their perfect start after two matches in Zone A.

In response, Longsville folded meekly, bowled out for 74, as Brown bagged five for 21 including a hat-trick, while Kevin Peterson finished with three for 14.

In the second match of a double-header at the same venue, Bodles Royals (66/2 off 3.5 overs) steamrolled Young Warriors (64 all out) en route to an eight-wicket victory.  Former West Indies bowler Krishmar Santokie topscored for the Royals with an unbeaten 40.

At Bridgeport Oval, host Bridgeport Super Sixers (150/7 from 29 overs) came out on the losing end of their Zone B thriller against Greater Portmore. The visitors, in chase of a 151-victory target achieve the feat off the penultimate ball of their innings to win by one wicket.

Elite Warriors (149/6 off 20 overs) bowled and fielded well to restrict Braeton CC (130/4 off 20 overs) to carve out a 19-run triumph also at the Bridgeport Oval.

In two Zone C matches played at the Spanish Town Prison Oval, Gifted Academy (85/9 off 20 overs) were blown away by the Victoria Eagles (87/2 off 9.2 overs) in an eight-wicket defeat.

And over in Zone D played at Chedwin Park, Sanjay Walker’s 71 not out was the foundation in the Angels (203/4 off 20 overs) massive 95-run win over Slazenger (108 all out).

Later on, Packers (123/8 off 17 overs) edged a low-scoring to claim a two-wicket win over Watermount (122/9 off 20 overs).
