Action between May Pen Lions and Junction Ballards Valley at Sir P. Senior Oval in May Pen, Clarendon on July 14, 2019
The 2011 and 2012 national champions were edged into third by White River of St Ann who joined group winner Johnson Mountain into the quarter-finals.
Net-run-rate came into the equation to determine the team that placed second in the group, as Old Harbour, White River and Eastwood Park Gardens all ended the second round on three points.
However, after crunching the numbers White River had the best net-run-rate, according to the organisers.

Meanwhile, May Pen Lions suffered a heavy 50-run home defeat to Junction Ballards Valley at the Sir P. Senior Oval in May Pen, Clarendon.
Junction Ballards Valley first posted 218 for four before restricting the hosts to 168 for eight.
Similarly in Group A, net-run-rate will come into play to decide the two teams to progress after Junction joined May Pen and Fairfield on six points.
