The shooting occurred sometime after six o'clock at the intersection of the May Pen off ramp on South Street.
Based on preliminary information from the Old Harbour police, a Toyota Probox taxi with only the driver aboard broke down at the location, causing a queue. A man driving a Mercedes Benz SUV – said to be a friend of the taxi driver – stopped to give assistance.
While making checks a man approached both men and open gunfire, hitting them before making good his escape on foot in a northerly direction.

The deceased have been identified as 43-year-old taxi driver Rohan Gordon, also known as ‘Squeeze,’ and 29-year-old labourer Demar Muirhead, alias ‘Teeco.’ Both men were residents of Old Harbour Bay, with Gordon hailing from the ‘Bay Bottom’ area and Muirhead from the ‘Terminal’ neighborhood. Following the incident, two illegal firearms and ammunition were reportedly seized by authorities.

Indeed, the eight-year-old is a ‘math magician’ who goes around with a little book in which he sits and works out complicated equations in his spare time. Figuring things out, especially mathematics is what young Marcus does and recently he did it so well that he beat out an incredible field of 609 other grade four students across the island to win the National Math Olympiad for the grade four level.

Weather expert Glenroy Brown says temperatures are likely to soar up to five degrees above normal.
“Bad news, Jamaica!” said Brown, reporting on his Weather Jamaica channel on X (formerly Twitter). “From May 13 to May 18, 2024, prepare for persistent heat and dry weather as temperatures will be soaring 5 degrees Celsius above normal, as indicated by the fiery red colors on the map.”

The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Euwart Stephenson otherwise called ‘Biggy’ of said community.
According to the police about 6:20 pm Stephenson and another man, said to be 34 years old, were at a shop in Seven Miles when they were attacked by a lone gunman who fired a barrage of shots at them.
Stephenson died on the spot while the other man was rushed to the hospital where his condition is said to be very serious.
