A week-long visit from a sports delegation from the United States saw them share their knowledge and training skills with several groups across four parishes.
Dupont Primary, Camperdown High, Calabar, Manchester High, Dinthill Technical, Stadium, Phase One Academy, First Assemblies of God Mandeville, were among the scheduled stops.
At one of its sessions staged at the Old Harbour High School, Zach Arington spoke on the importance of developing healthy eating habits and practicing effective time management.

West Indies legend Chris Gayle lights up the iconic Empire State Building in New York during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Trophy Tour recently. Gayle, 44, holds the enviable record of being the first batter to score a T20 World Cup century, a sizzling 117 versus hosts South Africa in 2007.
The 36-year-old West Indian all-rounder was among the star performers for KKR on the night in Channai, as they demolished the Sunrisers Hyderbad by eight wickets in a lopsided final.
Russell bagged three wickets for 19 runs from 2.3 overs to dismiss their opponent for 113 in the 19th over.

With a lifelong passion for the sport, Perry began his officiating journey in 2017 during his final year of college at the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport after being introduced to a referee training by a former referee. Starting as an assistant referee, his capability for the role quickly propelled him into the position of central referee within a year and eventually to the senior level.

He was speaking to Britain’s PA News Agency after the Caribbean side was thrashed 3-0 in the recent three-match Test Series in which none of the matches went into the fifth day.
Russell, in England representing the London Spirit, was quoted by the AFP saying: "I don't think it's the money, I don't think money is the issue.
"Based on the amount of T20 and leagues around the world, I think a lot of players are just not interested in playing Tests."
She made the announcement during a ceremony recently held at the Jamaica Football Federation headquarters in Kingston.
Under the initiative some 500 football coaches at the primary school level will have the opportunity to sit the FIFA D Licence course, a move that will ultimately become a prerequisite for persons coaching at the under-13 level.

The seminar, conducted in Nanterre, France, was one of the first activities under the official City Twinning agreement between Nanterre, France, and Spanish Town, signed on the margins of the Paris Olympics.
The agreement was signed by Mayor of Spanish Town, Councillor Norman Scott, and his counterpart in Nanterre, Raphael Adam, at a recent ceremony held to coincide with Jamaica Day celebrations in Nanterre.

The 47-year-old enjoys being a part of different types of sports but has a special love for nontraditional sports like table tennis, volleyball, golf and especially badminton. He was involved in sporting activities from the age of 11 when he started playing football and cricket in primary school then basketball throughout his high school years at Arden High.
The trio of Alton Duhaney, Jaequan Dixon and Donrick Fearon are already in the Big Apple preparing for the 125-mile course from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park to Montauk Lighthouse this Sunday, September 8.
Club president Velana Creary is elated.
“The members here are very excited. It’s a great opportunity for our organization and our youths… they need to be out there, they need to go different places, different areas to compete so they can be a better cyclists and a better person,” she said from New York. “It is a huge opportunity for us.”
