In loving memory of Howard McCarthy Salmon (August 22, 1954 – September 7, 2009) affectionately known as ‘Sammy’.
It is with hearts full of love and cherished memories that we honour the life of Howard McCarthy Salmon. To all who knew him, he was simply "Sammy”, a man whose presence was a steady and comforting force in the lives of his family and friends.
A lifelong resident of Nightingale Grove, St. Catherine, Sammy was a devoted family man. He built a beautiful life with his loving and devoted wife, Jerusha. Together, they raised a family that was his greatest pride and joy: his sons Ian, Adrian, and Leon, and his daughter, Keneisha. His legacy of love and strength lives on through them.
He was a cherished brother to Andrea, Michelle, Panzie, Donovan (deceased) Douglas, and Michael, reflecting that the bonds of family were paramount to Sammy, and his warmth and loyalty created an unbreakable connection with his siblings.
Though his passing has left a void that can never be filled, his spirit continues to shine brightly in the lives of his eight adored grandchildren, who will grow up hearing stories of their wonderful grandfather. He also leaves a lot of fond memories to a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbours whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and quiet wisdom.
Sammy’s journey on this earth concluded on September 7, 2009, but the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared remain as a lasting tribute to a life well-lived.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
