Loving Remembrance of Sylvia Winnifred Graham-Newell

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Winnifred Graham-Newell, late of Bois Content and 71 Darlington Drive, Old Harbour. Born in Trelawny on September 16, 1950, Graham-Newell was called to eternal rest on September 3, 2025 at the age of 74. 

Sylvia was the cherished wife of the late police officer Jerrin Newell, popularly called ‘Watch-Di-Ride’, whom she met after migrating to Kingston. A pillar of strength and love, she was an amazing mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memory six loving children: Archibald, Mark, Lilieth (Reba), Marco, Leeroy, and Nardica; 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a host of other family members and friends.

A Wake to celebrate the life of Sylvia Winnifred Graham-Newell will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Kevin’s Place, 22 Bowers Drive, Old Harbour. 

The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 starting 11:00 am at the Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church, Marlie Acres, Old Harbour. 

Prior to the service viewing of the body begins 10:30 am. Interment: Thetford Park Cemetery.
