It is with profound sadness and hearts full of cherished memories that the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Ivy Adassa Grant "Mama Ivy", on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was 93 years old.
Mama Ivy was a longtime resident of the Marlborough District, Hopewell, St. Mary. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a faithful friend to many. She leaves an incredible legacy of love and family, survived by:
Her Children: 7 sons and 5 daughters
Her Siblings: 2 brothers and 1 sister
Her Grandchildren: 44
Her Great-Grandchildren: 50
Her Great-Great-Grandchildren: 4
A host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends who will mourn her passing and celebrate her remarkable life.
A Service of Thanksgiving to honour her life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Marlborough Gospel Assembly, Hopewell, St. Mary. The interment will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery.
The family expresses sincere gratitude for all the prayers and support during this time of bereavement.
