JN Foundation offers opportunity for tertiary scholarships

The deadline for the submission of application is September 3. Prospective applicants are invited to access the application on the JN Foundation’s website at: https://www.jnfoundation.com/jn-scholarships/.

To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must be: Jamaican; should have completed one year at one of the eligible institutions; and have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.

Brilliant Old Harbour girl gets government scholarship

Williams, a recent graduate and former head girl of Old Harbour Primary, will be attending the famed Campion College after logging an impressive 99.2 percent average in this year’s Primary Exit Profile (PEP) national exam.

The scholarship is valid throughout Williams’ high school years, excluding sixth form once she maintains excellent academic performance. Its value varies for each recipient, covering tuition, auxiliary fee and other school-related expenses.

Williams’ mother is delighted.

$29m in scholarships for 83 children of police officers

The 83 students, who commenced tertiary studies this academic year, along with 63 returning students were each awarded $200,000 in bursaries. The returning students were qualified for new bursaries based on academic performance.

In delivering the keynote address, permanent secretary, Dianne McIntosh said words can never fully express the nation’s gratitude to the brave men and women of the Jamaican Constabulary Force who endanger their lives to protect citizens.
