Tragedy struck early this morning when 26-year-old Shandee Williams of Gordon Wood, Church Pen, and 44-year-old Carlos Pryce of Red Hills, St. Andrew, lost their lives in a fatal collision along the Old Harbour Road near Chedwin Park.

Contrary to other reports, a friend of Williams informed Old Harbour News that he received the dreaded call about 2:00 am that Williams' Nissan Altima collided with Pryce's Honda Fit. Both men died on the spot, as their vehicles were severely damaged. No other individuals were involved in the crash.

Williams, who was also originally from Westmoreland, was a well-known photographer and a member of the popular multimedia company, Digital Image.

His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the Church Pen community, where he was described as a vibrant and promising young man.

The Spanish Town traffic department is investigating.
