Health and Wellness Minister Dr Christopher Tufton today announced the first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Jamaica.
The patient, a female Jamaican national, is currently in isolation after arriving in Jamaica on March 4, 2020 from the United Kingdom.
But within less than an hour after Dr Tufton’s announcement the disinformation about how, where and who regarding the virus was spreading, perhaps at a faster rate even.
