A double shooting incident along Burke Road last night, has left one man injured and two others fortunate to escape unharmed.

The incidents, which took place around 8:45 to 8:50 pm have set in motion an investigation by detectives assigned to the Old Harbour Police CIB.

The first incident involved a 24-year-old man from the community, who was standing along the roadway near Love Lane when a white Toyota Probox approached.

According to a preliminary police report, a man exited the vehicle, brandished a firearm, and opened fire at the complainant, who was struck in his left shoulder and was promptly transported to the Spanish Town Hospital by the Old Harbour Operational Support Team (OST) for treatment.

Meanwhile, just minutes earlier, two local residents, both males in their 20s, were standing at their gate when a white Toyota Probox drove up. An armed individual from the vehicle emerged and opened gunfire in their direction.

Fortunately, both young men managed to run away and escaped injury. Crime scene officers observed spent casings and live rounds on the roadway, indicating the severity of the attack.

Both incidents are currently under investigation by the police, while authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and cooperate with investigations to bring those responsible to justice.

Anyone with pertinent information is encouraged to contact the Old Harbour Police Station. The police continue to urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to aid in the ongoing investigations.
