A man is dead while two other persons are hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident this morning in the vicinity of the Church Pen Housing Scheme along the Old Harbour Road.

The deceased has been identified only as 20-year-old Keenon ‘Steeno’ Perry, of Gordon Wood, Church Pen.

Old Harbour News understands that about five o’clock before dawn, a Toyota Mark X motor car with three men aboard was travelling in a westerly direction towards Old Harbour when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The car careened off the road and slammed into trees in a yard. Perry, allegedly said to be the driver, died on the spot while his friends – one currently known only as ‘Ratty’ and the other unidentified at the moment, suffered broken bones and multiple lacerations.

While Old Harbour News is awaiting official word from the Old Harbour Police traffic unit, it is being theorized that the alleged driver was speeding at the time.

The men were also present at a major party at Gutters, Old Harbour News was reliably informed.

All three men are residents of Church Pen.
