It is understood that none of injuries are life threatening, however the damages could be debilitating at least for one woman whose legs might have to be amputated.
Details on how the accident happened are still sketchy. However, it has caused several communities to be without electricity at the moment as a result of a truck slamming into a utility pole.
The Jamaica Public Service (JPS), the island major electricity company, has since issued an advisory, informing affected customers that “extensive repairs” will needed before power is restored.
“Customers in sections of Old Harbour and Clarendon are currently experiencing service disruption as a result of damage to infrastructure from a motor vehicle accident,” the company said.
