A SeaWalk floating pier in Europe
Twitter followers were given a sneak peek in to how the floating pier will function in a video from the manufacturer posted by the PM, who informed that it will arrive in the island next week.
And in case of an impending hurricane the manufacturer says the SeaWalk has a specific function that allows for “disconnection and readiness for towing within 30 minutes”.
The government has invested US$7.4 million into the project which will allow large cruise ships to dock at the once famous ancient city.

SeaWalk, a Scandinavian group, says it has installed four similar piers in Europe, all of which have been utilised by more than 400 cruise ships combined.
