Old Harbour charity founder Donna Moore Stewart honoured on Heroes Day

She was among 12 individuals recognized at the annual event yesterday (October 21) organized by the St Catherine Municipal Corporation.

In a post on social media in which the New Yorker was visibly emotional, she wrote: If you know me. I was holding back the ugly thankfulness tears. Over the last 30 years I served others consistently. You will never see the scars I received through this process, the losses I endured and the list goes on. Thanks (sic) you St. Catherine [Municipal Corporation] for this Heroes Day Award.”

Old Harbour wanted man fatally shot in Spring Village

Dead is Rasheed Gallimore, otherwise called ‘Crime Pig’, a native of the community.

Information obtained by Old Harbour News is that Gallimore, who is about 35 years old, was at a bar when he was eliminated.

Details surrounding the incident are still unclear at the time of writing.

8 spent shells retrieved beside body found in Amity Hall Agro Park

The discovery was made about 7:30 pm by a group walking along a dirt road in the Agro Park area, approximately four miles east of Old Harbour.

Upon examination, investigators noted multiple gunshot wounds to Coleman’s head and upper body, as well as eight spent shell casings recovered from the scene.

Weather experts report that Invest 97L, a potential tropical disturbance, has a 90% chance of developing into Tropical Storm Rafael in the coming days.

With warm ocean temperatures creating conducive conditions for storm formation, meteorologists are monitoring its unpredictable path, as major models show varied projections.

Regardless of its development, increased rainfall is expected across Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, and the Cayman Islands throughout the week.
