Ricketts departs for Gold Cup, J'can refs to stand in semi-final clash

President of the Jamaica Football Federation Michael Ricketts is set to leave the island on the weekend for the Concacaf Gold Cup tournament taking place in the United States.

He will join President of Concacaf Victor Montagliani and several other regional football association presidents at the grand final scheduled on August 1 at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Meanwhile, three Jamaican referees will officiate in this evening's Concacaf Gold Cup semi-final match-ups between defending champions Mexico and Canada at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

The man in the middle will be Daneon Parchment, while Jassett Kerr will be one of two assistant referees, the other being Caleb Wales from Trinidad.

The other Jamaican Oshane Nation will be the fourth official.
