Nine Old Harbour communities without water

This is due to power supply disruption to the National Water Commission (NWC) facilities at Rhoden Well and Colbeck.

In an advisory the utility company stated: “The NWC is advising that JPSCo power supply problems have forced the shutdown of operations at the Rhoden Well and Colbeck Water facilities in St. Catherine. This has resulted in water supply disruption to customers served by the facilities.”

Areas impacted are Old Harbour Bay, New Harbour Village phases I, II, III, IV; The Aviary H/S, Presidential Estate, Planters Hall and Bois Content.

No timeline was given as to when normal service will be restored, as that will be dependent on the speed at which the light and power company resolve the matter at the facilities, said the NWC.
