NWC work crew was observed carrying out works linking the main sewage line from the newly established Colbeck Manor housing development to that of the Aviary’s.
On Tuesday, a work crew from the state’s utility company was observed carrying out works linking the main sewage line from the newly established Colbeck Manor housing development to that of the Aviary’s.

This means that sewage from Colbeck Manor will flow through Aviary’s main sewer trunk line before emptying into the Aviary Sewage Plant situated across the Bodles Gully.
A group of concern residents said they are left with no other option than to take legal action through the courts.
Several meetings were held with the NWC and residents regarding the impending decision.
But despite the NWC’s insistence that the existing conveyance infrastructure has the capacity to meet the additional raw sewage inflows from 257 units from Colbeck Manor, homeowners of Aviary remain unconvinced and have suggested other viable alternates.
Kemtek, the developer, is in a race against time to hand over the sold out units to its buyers by the end of this month.
