Damion 'Devil' Henry

Old Harbour’s most wanted man Damion ‘Devil’ Henry is now in police custody.

Henry, 31, has been wanted for the 2013 murder of a man on Ascot Drive, Old Harbour, but continues to elude the clutches of the security forces.

Yesterday, Henry with his attorney turned himself in at the Old Harbour Police Station where was taken into custody. This comes as police intensify operations in search of some of the most feared gangsters in the country.

The Burke Road, Old Harbour resident, was among several wanted men featured by the Jamaica Constabulary Force but remain elusive for close to nine years.

Henry, who also frequents Darliston, Westmoreland, is wanted for the June 6, 2013 murder of his 20-year-old cousin Travis Clahar of Ascot Drive, Old Harbour.

Investigators say Henry stabbed Clahar dead during a dispute at a family yard on Ascot Drive.

Henry, who was 22 years old at the time of Clahar’s death, fled the area and stayed under the radar of the police.

In the last few weeks the police have ratcheted up its drive against criminals elements which have led to the seizure of several illegal high-powered guns and the capture of many persons wanted for murder and other serious crimes.

Henry is expected to be formally charged pending a question and answer session with detectives who will then seek to establish a court date for the accused at the earliest time possible.
