23-y-o Bannister man slain

The deceased is Kwesi McGregor, an auto repairman by trade and resident of the Bannister Housing Scheme.

About 6:15 pm McGregor was standing along the main road of the community when a grey hatchback Subaru motor car stopped in front of him, stated a preliminary report from the police.

Two men alighted from the vehicle with guns in hand and shot McGregor multiple times before escaping, the report further stated.

He died on the spot, while seven spent casings were retrieved from the scene by detectives from the constabulary’s scene of crime unit.

Investigators theorized that McGregor’s killing may have stemmed from an argument with a man, whose identity has not been ascertained yet.

Investigation continues.
