Boyfriend who shot Old Harbour woman in US identified

Schloss is said to have shot his 23-year-old girlfriend Shanae Smith in the head at their home in Lithonia after she informed him that she’s ending their relationship.

Smith was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The police had opted to withhold the identity of the suspect until now as they have been unsuccessful finding him.

According to Fox5 Atlanta, neighbours reported hearing a single gunshot coming from the couple’s residence on Fields Drive sometime around three o’clock in the afternoon and called the police.

As reported by Old Harbour News, Smith and Schloss are both from Old Harbour here in Jamaica.

The two, Old Harbour News learned, have been friends from their time attending Old Harbour High school, but it could not be established how long they have been intimately involved.

Smith died within three hours of the incident, sending shockwaves among family and friends here and abroad.
