In fact today was the start of an islandwide initiative in which several farmers in May Pen, Clarendon received baby chicks, feeds and other items.
The company stated that the donation marked the first leg of its relief effort programme to assist farmers who suffered losses due to the hurricane which caused extensive damage across the island.

During his early upbringing he was privy to many reggae shows but in the latter years the quality and quantity of reggae staged events in the Pine State has fallen dramatically in his opinion.
It is one of the main reasons why Wilson has launched the Culture Reggae Festival, a renaissance of the genre in the northwest of the US.

Warrior King and Turbulence are the headline acts for the inaugural Culture Reggae Festival in the US state of Maine on August 3, 2024.
Those were the words of Paula Llewellyn while speaking at the 2024 Old Harbour High School Graduation Ceremony, recently held at the Old Harbour New Testament Church of God.
Speaking to an audience of over 200 graduates and hundreds of family members and friends, Mrs Llewellyn, whose position as the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is currently embroiled in a legal tussle, used her vast experience and knowledge, to educate and inspire.

The annual community outreach initiative, this time saw over 300 locals receiving support in the form of care packages, medical checks and back-to-school items.
Additionally, the New York-based diaspora group donated two desktop computers to the Old Harbour Library, six laptop computers, as well as six financial grants to students in the area.

Jackson’s body was found inside a room at what was once known as Crest Motel situated along the commercial strip of Marlie Mount on the eastern outskirts of Old Harbour.
The body had multiple chop wounds investigators observed.
It is believed that Jackson, also known as ‘Finger’, was killed at some point between 9:00 pm Saturday and 6:00 am Sunday the period in which he entered the building and when he was discovered by a watchman guarding premises.
The donation, which included Hi-Pro broiler and pig feed, water boots, shade cloth and mesh wire, was a collaborative effort between the company and the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA).
RADA assisted in identifying farmers in need and coordinated the distribution for each parish.
Addressing farmers, vice-president of Best Dressed Chicken, Dave Fairman, emphasized the crucial role that each small farmer plays in the local food supply chain and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting them through this challenging period.
He was speaking to Britain’s PA News Agency after the Caribbean side was thrashed 3-0 in the recent three-match Test Series in which none of the matches went into the fifth day.
Russell, in England representing the London Spirit, was quoted by the AFP saying: "I don't think it's the money, I don't think money is the issue.
"Based on the amount of T20 and leagues around the world, I think a lot of players are just not interested in playing Tests."
With literally the last week of the academic yearend the foundation was back in Jamaica, this time at the Old Harbour Bay Primary School.
Twenty-eight of 40 persons, inclusive of teachers and general staff members, were granted free health screening by the United States-based charity created two years ago by Jamaican couple of Mark McTaggart and Dr Odette Thomas, the latter a native of Colbeck, Old Harbour while the former a Kingstonian and Kingston College alumnus.

She made the announcement during a ceremony recently held at the Jamaica Football Federation headquarters in Kingston.
Under the initiative some 500 football coaches at the primary school level will have the opportunity to sit the FIFA D Licence course, a move that will ultimately become a prerequisite for persons coaching at the under-13 level.
