Twenty-year-old Jimoy Suckoo died under questionable circumstances after the off-duty cop’s government issued firearm was discharged while both were inside a room at the Versailles Hotel in May Pen, Clarendon on Sunday, January 12.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) – the state agency responsible for investigating deaths involving the security forces – says it is seeking to ascertain the full circumstances and actions taken which resulted in the weapon being fired.

Dead is 25-year-old Warren Ingram of Marlie Avenue, Old Harbour.
Reports reaching Old Harbour News are that on January 8 about 12:30 pm Ingram, otherwise called ‘Bobo’ was at a nearby shop when he was shot dead by a man who escaped on foot.
The scene was processed during with blood samples and two spend casings were retrieved by detectives.
Investigations are ongoing with the police urging members of the public who may have any information they believed to be credible that could assist investigators to come forward.

Warren Ingram was gunned down at a shot near his home on January 8, 2025.
Initially implemented at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, the curfew has been extended twice and will now remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18.
According to the JCF advisory, issued via social media, all individuals within the curfew boundaries are required to remain indoors unless granted authorization by the ground commander.
However, in the community of Old Harbour, part of the St. Catherine South division, daily life appears unaffected with residents and businesses being largely unaware of the restrictions.

Images now circulating on social media, showed Spencer’s lifeless body on the ground at Lincoln Plaza with what appears to be a single bullet wound to the head.
Spencer, 41, is well known in the Old Harbour space along with wife Apostle Martha Spencer, who is the founder of the church formerly known as One Reaching One Deliverance International Ministry.
Preliminary investigation from the Old Harbour police is that about 8:00 pm Spencer, who operates a business on the plaza, was attacked by unknown assailant(s) who escaped on foot.

About 5:00 am the body of the 65-year-old Matthews was discovered by residents along Marlie Drive in the community.
The Old Harbour police were called to the scene where investigators noted that the head was bashed in.
Chief investigator at the Old Harbour CIB Detective Inspector Carl Morris told Old Harbour News that based on preliminary investigation it is theorized that Matthews was hit in the head with a stone or some form of solid object.
Sean Hernandez, 31, of Bay Bottom, Old Harbour Bay was last Friday officially charged by detectives attached to the Old Harbour Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) after he was taken into custody earlier in the week
Hernandez, according to investigation conspired along with the triggerman to kill Plummer, a resident of Bannister district in northern Old Harbour.
On August 10, 2023 about 6:45 pm, Plummer was shot dead by a lone gunman along Darlington Drive near the clock.
